  11.     Some Linux friends of mine about the dorm have fun with an 
  12. AppleShare client on their machines. I've been told roughly where I could 
  13. find the source for the critter, as it's fun to play with the macs in the 
  14. public lab on occassion, particularly when the ol' rommie's asleep.

  16.     Well, I've got GCC running and a little programming knowledge ... 
  17. I was just wondering if I could get feedback/wisdom/suggestions/support 
  18. fore porting the AppleShare deamon over. That I'm using GCC might help a 
  19. bit, but what sort of problems am I likely to encounter? I'm betting that 
  20. the main job would be to get the networking part talking correctly ... 
  21. how much work would be involved, at this level? What libraries do I need 
  22. to get or whatever, and where from? How much work would it likely be? 
  23. Would anyone else be interested in the fruits of my labor, or better yet, 
  24. be willing to share labor? :)
