- Some Linux friends of mine about the dorm have fun with an
- AppleShare client on their machines. I've been told roughly where I could
- find the source for the critter, as it's fun to play with the macs in the
- public lab on occassion, particularly when the ol' rommie's asleep.
-
- Well, I've got GCC running and a little programming knowledge ...
- I was just wondering if I could get feedback/wisdom/suggestions/support
- fore porting the AppleShare deamon over. That I'm using GCC might help a
- bit, but what sort of problems am I likely to encounter? I'm betting that
- the main job would be to get the networking part talking correctly ...
- how much work would be involved, at this level? What libraries do I need
- to get or whatever, and where from? How much work would it likely be?
- Would anyone else be interested in the fruits of my labor, or better yet,
- be willing to share labor? :)
-
- Thanks.
